DIY Bed Liner

Would appreciate opinions from guys that have put spray/roller/brush material on truck beds or other equipment. I just sunk bucks into a new Kubota 4x4 for the farm. What brands are good? Any application tips etc.

When I put this truck back together I wanted a sprayed in bed liner.
I went and looked at the "bed liner sprayers" and thought to
myself, these look exactly like a cheap, hand held, sand blaster.
That's what I used. It worked great. It was trash afterward though.
I used Herculiner and it turned out well.
If you have to mask, as I did, take the masking off before it dries.
And yes, that is Farmall Red. Valspar with hardener. ;)

I sprayed several coats on my old Farmall steering wheel, and it worked perfectly. Black, durable, hard, Long-lasting.

I just bought a Herculiner kit. Great reviews. Kits were all over the place on price. I ended up getting mine at True Value hardware. Two guys I know put it on their trucks and they loved it.

With less than 50 hours on my new mx5200 I was down to the white primer on the step and floorboard. Looked bad. I got Herculiner at lowes. 1 gallon was $55. I coated the floorboard and step 3 times and 10 inches up the finders and back part under the seat with 2 coats. Took about a 1/3 of the gallon but I put it on heavy. With 150 hours on it now you can not tell that the Herculiner has even been used and if it was going to come off it would have done so on the step. I recommend this.

Make sure you scuff up the metal before you apply it. It needs a roughened surface to adhere to. If you leave it smooth, it may peel down the road.
