How much green paint does it take to paint a 88 oliver it has red wheels the paint supplier says it may take more than a gallon it will be PPG paint

If you are shooting a single stage urethane, it took me 6 quarts unreduced of crossfire for 3 coats on a farmall m.

I usually paint the main part of the tractor with acrylic enamel with hardner and the sheet metal with base- clear. 1 gal of single stage and 2 qts. of base should be good, plus 2 qts clear. I didn't think the supers had Red wheels. Mine are green.

I bought a gallon of the green each time I painted Oliver 77's and the same for an 1850. Never had much extra.

Dave, PPG is great paint, but is a little thinner than other brands and you will need at least 6 quarts to do a nice job. Chuck

I don't think a gallon will do it. If you prime first you will use less paint, but I still don't think a gallon will get it.
