Barge box new floor treatment

I am in the process of restoring a Lindsay barge box. The floor was mostly deteriorated for the exception of two boards. I bought new tongue-n-groove fir 1x4 flooring to replace the entirety of the floor. What would a good material be to completely treat the new floor boards before installing them?

I bought a '74 Ford grain truck cause it was a good deal. It has 20,000 miles on it and was one owner. The old guy that bought it new painted the bed floor with LOTS of used oil. The bed is like new and the truck frame under it is, too. That oil did a knockout job. If you don't want it darkened buy some new oil.

I tried boiled linseed oil. I did not seem to penetrate much. I used old motor oil the next year and it penetrated very well.
