Sealing welds on cab corners?

I am replacing cab corners on a chevy pickup. Most of the corner is spot welded, and I'll use weld they primer and plug welds to attach. The top of the panel where it meets the old metal will have to be butt welded. There is no way to get to the back of this weld once the panel is on. Won't this fresh weld rust, and if there are any pinholes in my weld, transfer moisture and rust to the outside? What's the proper thing to do here? I thought about flanging it and glueing the too, but the repair panel is pretty hard. A pneumatic flanger would not even touch it.

Jim, I would like to know too.

I was thinking about this later on and remembered that Eastwoods makes an aerosol inside paint, that comes with a tube and a little nozzle that makes the paint spray in a circular fan. You insert it than pull out while spraying and it coats the inside.
