I just painted my 8n tractor with majic paint from tractor supply and I was exited after painting it looked like a show tractor like I was hoping it would, I did spend five months doing it as I dissembled the tractor and painted each piece separately and after reinstalling it back together it looked amazing but after three months I developed a small fuel leak that went down my oil filter canister and then down the left side of the engine block and the fuel bubbled the paint and I rubbed it and the paint came write off so the paint is not fuel resistant I was so disappointed that I spent all that time and know it looks terrible if I had known that the paint wasn't fuel resistant I would have not used it in the first place.

Also red being so bright it will darken or fade with two-four years. I painted one a few years ago with automotive paint, then I touched up a few places after wards with some of the same with no hardener. It is amazing how it darkened in just two years.

It's just a lot to ask most paints to withstand the gas they make today. The paint would have had to cure for many months before it could tolerate even a brief exposure to gas. You even have to be very careful fueling your tractor not to get a spill. Keep a rag handy when filling the tractor and immediately dry it if there is a spill.
