John Deere primer

I've media blasted our F125 plow frame and the company flash primed the parts with red oxide and gray primer. I intend to repaint the unit with JD factory paint. My question, do I need to reprime the parts the factory primer before I paint?

On a side note, was the lettering stenciled on these old plows or were they applied lettering?

Thank you,

You have me stumped. I try to use primer and paint of the same manufacturer/kind. To be safe you should probably have
a light coat of Deere primer. But its just a plow, so would probably do ok to just shoot it. Let us know in 5 years if
it still green.

May not look pristine, but I keep my JD plow covered with a heavy black plastic tarp, sometimes sheet metal barn roofing, whatever I have. Sits out in the sun all the time, and this keeps the paint looking perfect.

I recently painted a John Deere B. Some of the parts I had primed with a rustoleum red primer, some I had painted with John Deere primer (I really like the JD primer), and some with sandable automotive
primer. I didn't have any problem with the factory John Deere paint covering all those surfaces. It seemed to cover the best over the John Deere primer.
