Been working on my Ford 5000's hood. It's the best I could do with out any real equipment. Sanded it down pretty much all by hand. Sprayed on 2 coats of primer and 3 coats of ford blue. Did everything with rattle cans since I didn't have an air gun or compressor. Not too bad of a job I don't think :)

Looks just fine. I DID the same, then every year I use some wet-sand sand-paper and re-do mine, gets better each year.

Looks great for what ya had to do with. We all started same place. Nobody was born knowing all and having all. ....and us old farts are still learning even today. Good job.

RandB that is a rare atrabute you have there. Lack of open mindness and unwilling to listen and learn is the bane of mankind. When someone ask's me what I know about any subject my reply is normally that I'm a student of the subject.
Great minds think alike.

That hood looks great. Be sure to post pics as you make more progress. I have a 3000 I need to do the same thing to some day.
