I got a can of private label (black print on white paper) paint for the motor of a car that I am working on to match factory original. The label says for high heat and it names all of the VOCs in it. For preparation it says to prime with quality automotive primer. What would you take that to mean? Does it automatically mean 2K?

i am not aware of a high temp automotive primer, but for the block ect, not an exhaust manifold, i'd try something like mp170 epoxy primer. you dont need a 2k surfacer or sealer.
