Need to repaint the degree wheel timing marks on the Bacharach test stand as they are getting harder to read. Wheel is a cup shaped steel with 360 stamped marks and some numbers also. Thinking of flat black with white for the stamped lines and numbers. If a light coat of black is used first and let dry, could the white be sprayed and wiped quickly to fill in the stamped lines? Not sharp at painting, thanks for any help.
 
i would use a pinstriping sword brush to fill in the lines. any auto body shop supply will have them , and you will get a nice clean line. here is a link to one

Glennster , That is a Mack series 20 which is fine for striping but is more known as a touch up brush. The blue wrap series 10 is a pure striping brush. If you were to have a choice for this job it would be a series 10 . The difference is very slight .
