John Deere "A" paint schemes

I have a late 1950-51 JD "A" with a bit different paint job on it. Nears as I can tell it is a factory paint job. I have seen a couple other "A"s with this same paint scheme. My question - Is it a factory paint job or not? Any others painted this way??

Here is a picture before I started taking the tractor apart.

I have a parts tractor with sheet metal that is very straight and I'm thinking of putting it back together with the ALL GREEN paint scheme.

NOT a "factory" paint job. Somebody repainted the tractor in the late 1950's or very early 1960's and
tried to make it look like a 620.

I have seen a few painted this way, was done later to make them look like newer series, not unlike the red Fords painted blue.

When you re-assemble , hard line the aftermarket power steering wherever you can, just use flex at ends , it will look a lot more like it could have been factory installed that way. Some clamshell fenders and you'll have a real nice late "A". Way to save another one.

Thanks for the suggestion on the power steering!I have the steering rod from the other tractor and I'm thinking I may be able to put all of that under the hood! Hide it if I can!
What do you think? Looks like there should be room.

Not much room under there. You may find room to run the lines but not hide the valve unit itself. You will see once you take it apart. I would just make a nice little custom sheetmetal styled housing for it in existing location to kind of blend it into hood like the factory might have had they used a control box up there. Imagination.

You may want to change the frame as you have a 1947-1949 A with the 1950-1952 frame. I have 35 A open fan shaft with 39 front end and back axel plus the replacement crankcase sort of like john Cash's Cadillac.
