Galvanizing

Is there any place around Minnesota you can send stuff to get galvanized?

What I have tried and I DO NOT know if it is good or not, is sand-blast down to white metal, then spray on some Rustoleum cold galvanizing primer compound, 97% pure zinc. The advertising says it is good, .... don't know, but it's what I use. Follow that with a layer or two of Rustoleum paint. I imagine it is just fine it the machinery is kept indoors or under sheds. I'd be sceptical if left outdoors for a long time.
