I just called the local resturant supply store looking to purchase Heavy Duty Oven Cleaner in large quantity (5 gal or so) so I would have plenty to clean old tracctors with and not have to spend $8 a can each time.

The lady said they don't sell oven cleaner like that but they typically carry "Carbon Off" oven cleaner in a quart can and it is $28.00 for a quart. The associate on the phone said you simply brush it on the surface to be cleaned.

Just curious if anyone has ever heard of this stuff or has used it and if it is Better than "Easy Off Heavy Duty" oven cleaner. I've used the Easy Off Heavy Duty and it is the only brand I like (that actually works) so far.

With the oven cleaner how do you use it? Spray if on and leave it sit? For how long? Then a good rinse with plain water? Obviously you
should scrape and get of as much oil and dirt before using the oven cleaner. After you clean it good do you have to anything to the tractor
finish, thanks.

If you have a HVAC supply house nearby stop in and get some brown coil cleaner. It's the most powerfull. Comes in gallon jugs and you cut it with water and use in your garden sprayer. Jug says 4 to 1 ratio but you can use a 2 to 1 and remove every speck of paint on there with a few sprays. About $10 a gallon.

I work for a manufacturer that produces among hundreds of other things, industrial grade oven cleaner. Forget about brands IT DOES NOT MATTER. forget amusing names. IT DOES NOT MATTER. Forget five gallon. Oven cleaner is rarely packed in five gallon. Forget purple or flaming red. COLOR DOES NOT MATTER. look up the SDS on the product. POTASSIUM HYDROXIDE is the ONLY THING that MATTERS. You want 10% or it may give a range like 8-14%. Coil cleaner is a good aggressive cleaner. I sell that too. But it is only half as strong as oven cleaner and four times the money. If you can take 96 4x1 gallons of really strong industrial oven cleaner I will give you a heck of a deal. (There is good profit in oven cleaner)

Yes, the Lye is the key ingredient but I didn't know if there were certain brands that might something else powerful in them or a stronger amount. That is what I was getting at. I like the Easy Off because it has the lye and the others I used didn't apparently. Does the foaming action with the Easy Off actually help?

Wow....are you saying you will make me a deal on 96 cases (4 gallons per case) ? Even if it were $5 a gallon, that'd be around $2,000. I just don't have that kind of money to put some oven cleaner on the shelf. Although I would like to know your price in the event I might want to stock up on a few cases.
