Can Classic John Deere paint be buffed to shine better

I just painted a 1941 h john Deere and it painted well but I want a little more shine to it. Is it possible to buff and if so when is th best time since I
used hardener in the paint?
Thanks

Good advice below. Just buffing will not take out "texture" in the paint. If your paint layed out perfectly flat but has hazad down , then buffing will be what you need,BUT, if there is texture or orange peel then one needs to wet sand smooth and then buff. Any of the show car finishes you see have been sanded first , then buffed. You can buff "texture" all day and all you will get is shiny "texture". If you are going to sand, then you had better have either a couple coats of clear on it or a couple MORE coats of color to allow for removal of some. You will sand through or buff through otherwise.
