Poured mixed paint back in can..not good.

I poured some acrylic enamel which had the reducer and activator in it...back in the can. I had a bad feeling about that, and now (of course) my paint is getting thick in the can. Can I simply add some reducer. To get it looking like it did when I first opened the can?

No, the activator makes it sort of like epoxy. It's going to harden no matter what. The only fix is to buy some fresh paint.

If the paint is solidified, it can go to a land fil. If it is still liquid, it needs to go to a hazardous waste hauler.

(quoted from post at 09:19:03 07/04/15) I didn't think of the reverse stirring method. Think that will save it ?

Every time! The hard part is pouring the activator and hardener back out separately.
