Black Diamond sandblasting media doesn't work for me.

Black Diamond Brand sandblasting media doesn't work for me. It plugs my sandblaster. Way too corse. 20/40 medium grit is what I was using. Got it at TSC for 8.00 a bag.

Went and picked up some "Patriot" brand sand and it works great. I think Black Beauty is out of business. That stuff worked great too.

As far as I am concerned the Black Diamond brand is not a great product.
 
I just use all purpose sand. Straight out of the bag some of it is too large for the sandblaster so I sift it through screen wire. I also use the same sand over and over so sifting through wire is necessary anyway.

bought the same brand when I bought their cheap sandblaster and figured out that the pickup hose was too large to suck the media blaster all the way to the tip so I just put a piece of duct tape over bottom of pickup hose and poked a smaller hole in duct tape to make the pickup smaller and it worked like a charm.
