correct Massey Harris red

I own 2 Massey Harris tractors, a Pony and a 30K and I want to restore them to Original. Problem is finding the correct collor red. Here in Europe Canadian built Massey Harris are very rare, most are French (Pony, even with Hanomag diesel engine!) or English (744D) and everybody uses another color red and they all say theirs is the right color! Now my question: I'm sure that you over there in the States or Canada have the right color red. Would anyone of you be so kind to put some paint on a piece of paper and send it over to me by post so I can SEE the color and have it made over here? Of course I refund all the costs (PayPal).
Many thanks in progress.
Regards from The Netherlands!

I have repainted my MH twice, and have crossed the color over to a NAPA number, will post that later.

I'm having the same dilemma. I'm starting a Massey Harris restoration and am trying to find the correct colors. I originally thought that there was a factory code that was cross referenced to all of the different paint brands but the more that I read the
more that I suspect that this is not the case. I'm thinking that the factory codes if they ever existed are either lost or for whatever reason were not able to be cross referenced. The codes one locates on the internet appear to be what individuals
believe to be close to the original colors. I've read comments from posters stating that the colors that they have seen on restored tractors just aren't right. I've read comments where the poster has stated that the Massey Harris "Straw Yellow" on
tractors that they've seen is almost always too dark. So I don't know what I'm going to do. Probably have to go with my gut feel on this one.

David, thanks for the efforts but NAPA is not available hier in The Netherlands. I realy need an example of the color so I can let it mix here by a local paint shop.

I would take that list of color codes into the store and see which one they can use. That is probably the hardest color to get right I have ever found.

Here is a picture of mine.

great looking tractor!!

What I would do is find a piece on the tractor that never had sun . Somewhere where a clean part of the original color can be found unfaded. Then go to an auto body supply with the part. Ask for all the chip books with colors like it. Go outside into the sun [ very important and ,amatuer mistake to use store lighting]. Then you select a chip closest to your original sample. This won't be hard if it is a major paint line like PPG or Matrix. Your counterman will like you because it was your decision on the color not his. That gets him off the hook .

There was more than one shade of yellow from the factory---it depended upon the year of manufacture. Not sure if this applies to the Red.
Where in Holland are you? Have many relatives in the Wijk bij Duurstede Utrecht area.

I live in Zeeuws Vlaanderen, that's about 250 kilometres from Utrecht.

Can't help on the paint, but my surname is Paulus. We have been traced back to Stettin, Germany (or was it Prussia then? but it's Polish now) on that side of the family.

I don't know much about my roots but they are probably just Dutch.

Guys, thank you very much for the reply's, I appreciate it very much but I should be realy helped if someone of you would put a few drops of paint which he used on a piece of paper and post it over to me. I do refund the costs.
Thanks

(quoted from post at 17:49:45 04/25/15) Same as MF red..., the yellow on the other depends on the year.
That's what I also thought but many people say it's too dark for MH.
