Painting cost of farmall H

Anywhere from $50 to $5,000. There are a lot of different ways and materials to use. I am not a pro by any means, but I could easily do a 50-50 for $50.00 or I could spend a two weeks on it for $5,000 you need to have discussions with at least two shops, about what you want and take notes.

heres a couple pics of a 49 m i painted for a customer, tractor was pretty straight to start with. completely stripped and repainted, cost at about 3900.00 here is the before

I'd also think about doing it yourself. If yours needs paint job, you might be surprised how easy it is, jut time consuming. I scraped and brushed and de-greased my H, took things apart and sand-blasted, used 4 - 6 spray cans of red primer, used 6 cans of spray Case-IH red, [never use Van sickle, never] and have been winning awards in Christmas parades for years. Best part, whenyou scrape it up farming, youjust grab the spray can, hit it again, and good to go. BTW, it'd be a long LONG time before I laid down $5000 to paint an H.

I would agree that a good job can be done by most people, the work is in the preparation. I could not tell from the post if you used spray cans, but would not recommend doing it with them. You can do a much better job with a $50 paint gun.
