Farmall paint

Good afternoon. I'm very new to painting, and have only painted a couple allis's with farm store type paint. I've obtained a pretty good M and would like quality paint. What manufacture do u recommend for farmall red, and who would one purchase it from? Thank you all LH

I used PPG's paint code 71310 when painting my Troy Bilt tiller. If you're planning on using hardener you need a supplied air system. Hal

PPG, DuPont, Sherwin Williams (NAPA) urethane. Stay away from alkyd enamel, it fades.

I'll second the motion on the IH 2150. I'm over-sensitive to the hardener, so I don't use it. Still get excellent results.

I'v used both Ih 2150 and Dupont cin. Also I've used nations paint, lower end DuPont. On farmall I use the IH 2150 now unless its a high dollar farmall like a SMTA/SMTAD. It looks good, goes on good and I have a 400 farmall that's been painted for almost 12 years and looks good. So it depends on how much money you want to spend.
