I got to wandering if you had any health issues you thought were body work related? I have actinic keratosis real bad on head also had 4 cancers removed on head, wandering if the paint, lead and asbestos dust sitting up there all day had anything to do with it.

have a few health issues, i see a cardiologist, uroligist and endocrinologist. dont know if its related to the body shop chemicals, farm chemicals, or enviornmental exposures. i have heard of several painters getting sick from this new water borne paint. apparently the water born is readily absorbed thru the skin and lungs because of the water. we still shoot solvent based here. water borne is only the base coat, so your primers, sealers and clears are all solvent based.

I retired 2002 so am kind of lost on new paint products. When I left we were using cromabase and 700 clear. Did a lot of centari in 70-80s.
Used to use R&M 70s Caddlics seemed to match better also used Mobil and Lemco on the Fords for better match. When they went to base & clear it sure made it easier to blend & match. Used more Dupont than any thing, had our own mixing for Cromabase. I see a cardiologist and urologist also. Prostate and bladder cancer, but lungs still good.

Even with my problems I think I've been lucky. My big mistake was not getting PSA test when I was younger. I keep telling DR. at IU hospital that I have fixed things all of my life and I don't want him to stop fixing on me.

I realize this thread has bveen dead for a while but I have a few AK also so am interested in cause. I have been in the sun most of my life and they say that explains mine.

You should read this:

and research if you have used chemicals containing derivatives of this: polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)
