New Holland Red

Sorry, but i answered my own question after a little searching around online. I've chosen to go with International red for my Ford Jube's red pants.

. . . the local Valspar rep said they could supply me with my choice of red as a brush on rather than like the Valspar Ford Grey Polyurethane with hardener-type that I just painted my rear rims with.

. . . I do have a '54 International 2 ton truck so maybe I won't be ostracized from the Ford community. :)

Thanks Bickle and Rusty,

Here's my tractor now. I restored the rear Hat rims last summer. They are oddball rims as someone in the past widened them to take 13" tires.

PO painted the fronts a bright white. I think I have enough Valspar ford Grey to do them over. I'll post a rim shot to show the Valspar Ford Grey close up (3 coats) -- blue marine enamel on the insides.

Rusty, does this look like the Ford's you've seen with IH Red?
That's me my Jube, happy as a pig in s*it with the rear wheels finally back on (1st day) . . . and I'm wondering if the previous painters might have used IH Red.

I know they used Ford Grey up top cause I had the hood paint scanned.

Excuse the blurry, but it is just a still from a movie a passer by took. She thought the tractor was sooo purty.

Thanks Rusty,

Good to know. the red is in various stages of fading out.
On the diff and tranny it has a kind of cherry pink color.

ASE,

Thanks! I like the kind of industrial look the wide tires give. Did you catch my run-on saga on the N forum about what a sloppy tire jockey did to my rims getting the rubber off. Here's a shot of some of the damage I had to fix.

I used PPG's single stage on my Troy Bilt tiller
in 2006. Still looks good always sheltered.

I paid $100.00 for the tiller and I sold the Tecumseh engine for $65.00. It needed new tines
and seals under the tine holders. I also installed a new 10hp B&S engine with electric start. Still looks good. Hal

Nice tiller!
I just wish I knew what PPG.

My best guess is a movie rating of double parental guidance. :D

What shade of red?
Sorry dumb question: "International Red"

How about this, made by General Paint I think?

Searching: Pittsburgh Paint … implement paint . . .

Thanks,
Terry
