Nope PPG for me every time. Not that sherwin is a bad paint but I want the best I can get when it come to that part of a restore

We switched to SW's Polane two component urethane for topcoats several years ago ~ no complaints so far as ease of application or quality. Primer is a high build epoxy furnished through SW's automotive branch and very forgiving when applied over less than perfect fiberglass surfaces.

(quoted from post at 18:45:29 11/15/14) has anyone ever used sherwin williams paint to paint a tractor?

I painted this 1950 A with SW paint and it turned out good. It was easy to work with and went on good. It's probably what I'll use from now on.

(quoted from post at 13:13:04 11/18/14) looks great. did you use reducer and hardener

Yes I did. Which ever brand you use make sure your use the whole system (reducers, activaters, etc) of the same brand. Otherwise it'seems just dumb luck as to how all of the different parts will work together.

I wouldn't paint a dog house with Sherwin Williams products. After useing SW for 20 years,I had just bought some things including clear lacquer for a lacquer base/clear on my son's classic Camero. We had hours upon hours of labor invested and looking foward to finishing up the father son project with something he could drive with pride. This was at the time 2 part coatings were being introduced and "new jelly bean" sales rep walked in and managed to convince me to buy urathane clear instead. The job was a disaster. Clear was soft and easily scratched with a fingernail. Counter man refered me to corprate support who refered me to Mr.Jelly Bean know it all local rep. Jelly naturaly blew me off saying it had to be my fault. No amount of effort on my part would convince Jelly to furnish new products to a trusted local shop for testing. Corprate tild me this is one of jelly's primary functions so I must work through him. All I got from him was baaaa raaa and bawaa wa wa,the factory extensivly test's all our products before putting them on shelves for sale, had to be somthing I did wrong. Not being my first time where a problem occured and everyone's looking to blame others,I carfully preserved all products, witness accounts and communications with store, corprate and Jelly. I intentional made certain some communication be written and electronicly recorded. The issue died off amoung all involved,,,except me. 18 months later, the friendly counter man who had served me for 4+ years before the incident, tipped me off about the system being changed due to unending problems. The max recovery for small claims in Tx is $10k and since I could easily support my assertion the car was an investment, time ,travel, labor and incidentals would be included should I prevail. Their lawyers dodged, ducked, delayed and attempted to brow beat and intimidate right up to court date which they skipped. 64 days after the date my default judgment was recorded with the state,I recived a call form a lawyer with a totaly different attitude.
I'm pleased with the check I recieved but would have been just as pleased with a lot less if Jelly had just maned up and saved his employeer being kicked in the balls. Too many good tried and true outfits out there,SW can keep Mr Jelly and their products.
