General painting questions

I have a couple of questions
I am going to try to epoxy prime some parts of my Ford 8N tractor today or tomorrow weather permitting and I had a few questions.
When scuffing previously epoxy primed surfaces what color or grit Scotchbirght pad should you use.
Product information sheet for PPG Omni MP series Epoxy Primers says under Additives “acetone may be added up to 10% to RTS MP series epoxy primer” I am assuming RTS stands for ready to spray, is that after the 15 min induction period. At 70 to 80 degrees am I likely to need to thin the epoxy??
I am going to do one final wipe down with PPG DX330 wax and grease remover, how long should I wait before painting
Another general question on painting, I know some say not to use phosphoric acid on cast and I was wondering the difference between that and some of the rust converting paints. Could you use them and then put epoxy over them? Just wondering for some of the tough to get at spots on cast or sheetmetal.

Yes, you need to be careful using phosphoric acid on cast iron. use it only on the parts where you wan the paint to last.

you won't need to thin your epoxy. This is car stuff and if you were doing a complete car and it was 90° then maybe. I would use red scotchbrite pad.No point in applying epoxy over POR products.
