water separator for compressor line

Would like some reommendations on a good water separator for an airline. Want to paint some tractors when it cools down a bit and humidity is not so high here.

There are several good ones for less than $200. I use two, the last one is for paint. The important thing is to get it as far away from the compressor as possible, mine is about 105 feet, pipes go around the room.--absolutely no water gets to the gun.

No, but I thought a better one my take out any excess moisture in air. I might be overthinking this.

I have one that traps water and oil and has built in regulator. I think I gave about $40.00 for it about 30 years ago. If you take care of them they will last a long time.

I've never seen one that would catch more than the tiniest fraction of the moisure in the air. The last one I had the drain cock got damaged and I glued it shut. After years of using it there still isn't any water in it.

The best thing I've used is to run the plumbing from the compresser up to the ceiling and back down before routing it through the shop. The moisture seems to drain back to the tank which I drain daily and more often if the weather is humid or I'm spraying a lot. Sometimes I set the drain cock on the compresser to where it drains a little all the time.
