Hi to everyone, I am painting a PPG Acrylic Lacquer and using a PPG Del Fleet extra slow reducer but it is drying almost as it hits the surface. Can"t get a wet coat?. What nozzle would be correct? for the binks #7 gun. Thanks in advance BobV

I don't know where you are getting PPG acrylic lacquer but I assume you know that acrylic lacquer doesn't hold a shine when it dries and dries very quickly. Acrylic lacquer requires buffing out to get the shine. In summer you need slowest thinner and maybe even retarder when real humid and the lowest air pressure you can get away with . High pressure will tend to dry it before it gets to the surface. I personally don't know why anyone would even use the stuff today.

I am restoring a Model A Ford and wanted Lacquer this was as close as I could get. Can't argue the practicality of choice but that's my problem not yours. Thank you for your response.

Not judging your choice but rather expressing my personal opinion and experience back in the '60,s/'70's with nitrocellulose and acrylic lacquer back then. If you live where it gets minus 10 in winter and 100 in summer like I do then neither lacquer will hold up for much more than 5 yrs. It will not expand and contract with the metal under it and is very brittle and will "spider crack" or shatter. I just hate the thought of a re-do. Original is nice in theory but most of those cars back then needed a repaint in 5 yrs. Sounds like you have already made your choice and I really hope it works out for you. This is a forum of facts and experiences and opinions and these are mine. Not intended to judge. Thanks. RB.
