Paint color for a 1947 COOP E3

My dad is repainting his Co Op E3 and he cannot find anywhere that carries the paint. He is not looking for an expensive and custom mixed color. He wants to go with an acrylic enamel that is a close color right as it is. Somebody told him that VW orange is a close color match but he is not convinced. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you

Am trying to paint a 1947 E3 also and haven't had any luck
finding right color either! The Volkwagon early 1970's "pumpkin
orange" from what I have been told is for the later E3s!!!

I have an old Devilbiss suction spray gun I bought
used. Parts are still available and it has been
rebuilt several times. When I finished painting
I would completely disassemble the spray gun to clean it then I hung the parts in a can of lacquer
thinner until I needed the gun again. Hal

This picture is a 1947 CO-OP E3 When I was looking for paint, I took a piece from the tractor that was covered with grease then I cleaned it up to find the original paint. Then I took the piece to Lowes where the guy put it in some computer machine and came up with a formula to match it.
It was Valspar machinery paint. The paint was a perfect match for the piece I took in.

Since you said "any" suggestions, and since I just bought some.... looks close to School Bus Yellow to me, maybe even Cub Cadet Yellow.

2X the grease covered part and get it digitally duplicated. They can do it for cheap expensive or middle of the road type of paint. Custom mixing doesn't make it expensive, the ingredients do.
