I took the hood to our auto parts store and they used their special camera placed right on the paint and sent the camera off to have the paint digitally analyzed.
I have the paint now and it seems I was right in assuming that the previous restoration owner HAD chosen the correct Ford Grey for a Jubilee. The parts manager said that the camera recognized it as "Ford Grey".
So here is the paint type I chose and the data from the label they stuck on the can of paint they mixed up for me:
VALSPAR
852 SS Polyurethane (A)
[b:c660810fbe]852-145056 NF[/b:c660810fbe]
TERRAIN
2013 FORD USA (VA-7290)
P.S.
Before I took the hood in, I did a light cut polish and a waxing of it.
As I was walking through our village with the Jube hood, some young guys in a car at the stop sign said:
"Wow, Narly skateboard dude!"
