Preparing to paint an F-12. Bought the turbine sprayer a few months ago and been testing and making samples for a few weeks.

Here are the details:
Painting in a conditioned space 72 degrees
Using PPG MTK acrylic urethane
Using the slowest reducer I can get
Using the slowest hardener I can get
I have mixed per instructions 4:1:1
I have added 1/2 more reducer and tried it

First coat on samples goes on well. the second coat seems to want to have a small orange peel. It's not terrible and on hoods, tank I can sand and buff and be fine. It's those little pieces that I will not be able to sand and buff.

Any advice or help is appreciated

I don't have that spray system you are using. Orange peel [ if it really is orange peel] can be caused by alot of factors;Gun nozzle size , low pessure , thinner is evaporating too quickly , laying too much paint in one coat. First you have to make sure you are really getting orange peel and not solvent popping or other issues.
