paint prep by heavy equip Jockies?

How do the Jockies prepare large equipment before painting at large consignment sales? I have a old HD 10 AC I need to paint and could use some tips. I don't need to do a parade quality job.

I have a friend in the used equipment business. Most of his junk (HA!) goes across the pond. Has 3 men working for him cleaning and painting.He bought the biggest Natural gas fired steam Jenny he could find. It will peel the old paint off. He spends one day per unit cleaning and one or two days painting.
He buys the cheapest enamel paint he can get and thins it with lacquer thinner. Drys instantly. Makes all his own decals. 4 to 5 days its ready to ship.

Big hot pressure washer is the key. Wash, remove covers, wash again, unbolt more, wash again. I painted a Case IH 685 this past winter. We washed it 4 times before painting...Lots of work, but its worth it.
