Removing overspray from a truck

I noticed the paint on my truck felt a little rough the other day. Looked close and apparantly I did not have it parked far enough away from where I was doing some painting a week ago. Its very light, you have to look close to see it, but you can feel it when you run your hand over it. Whats the best way to get this off?

what paint does your truck have and wht were you painting with.

in some cases a rg with naptha will take off light overspray.

in other cases ultra fine rubbing compound on a buff wheel can be used to polish her up

can't say much more without knowing what you sprayed and what it landed on.

I was painting John Deere paint from a spray gun. The truck was quite a ways away. It is a stock 04 Chevy duramax.

jd paint from a spray gun. lets see.. that narrows it down.. naw.. it don't.

alkyd?

urethane?

catalyzed?

if straight non catalyzed alkyd. id try some naptha on a cloth and do a wipe down.

Sorry, im a newbie at body work. the can says that it is a synthetic enamel. Its the John Deere brand and I used John Deere thinner. Nothing else.

synthetic alkyd enamil.

with no hardner, you may be in luck. soak a rag in naptha and give a wipe. could do the same with your reducer.. but check the reducer.. some have heptane and other goodies in it. i'd test those in an inconspicous spot to make sur ethey did not cloud the paint finish.

the fall back is ultra high polishing compound. low removal type. heck. many time simple car wax, buff on type will be enough.

avoid buffing or rubbing compounds.. only wax or polishing compounds.

Will do, it looks like my thinnner has naptha in it. The truck is painted white, might be hard to tell if it clouds it.

clay bar- I work at an airport, 1 hangar tenant had painted his home built airplane and the neighboring tenant had overspray on his plane. painter took a clay bar over the entire plane and it was good as new. I know there are 2 kinds of clay bars one worked better then the other. I know you can pick them up at auto part stores.

Had the same problem ,used paint thinner, afterwards
gave it a good wash and waxed it with a cleaner wax.
