pitted metal filler

was just reading the pitted fender post, I'm going to be working on a tractor wheel that had a valve leak and the surface is pitted but not rusted through. I will be sand blasting to get rid of scale and rust. My question is has anyone used a product called Mastercoat permanent rust sealer made by PM Industries, saw it in Antique Power Mag. If so good or bad results? thanks

if it was on the out side of the rim..for cosmetic reasons..i would sand blast it and epoxie primer it..then use a product called ALL METAL...It is a body filler ,i think it has aluminum power in it..it is silver in color..i used it on and old 1916 sandwich engine.to smooth out the cast iron.

i just did a rear rim on my 240utility. needed a new tube, so i cleaned up the rust on the rim, then 2 coats of POR 15 rust conversion primer. just brushed it on. once dry, its tough as nails. calcium chloride will not affect it. mastercoat is prolly a similar product.
