I was curious to know if a machine can be left assembled and
soda blasted without worry of damaging
seals/bearings/gaskets, etc... I have stripped and painted the
chassis of my Super H with what is probably inferior paint from
tractor supply... I think I want to take it off and do it right with
epoxy primer and Sherwin-Williams paint in IH 2150 red. I
have a local contact that deals with Sherwins automotive paint
products. My dads '66 Chevelle was done with this paint and it
came out excellent. The body guy said it was the first time he
used it and actually liked it better than PPG. It would be great
if I could just have the chassis blasted in one piece. I originally
did all the paint and rust removal with an angle grinder with a
wire wheel and die grinders with wire cups and a whole lot of
sweat. I don't want to have to do it again... Is soda blasting a
viable option? I appreciate any input. Thanks.
