Paint compatibility questions

I bought CIH red paint and primer from Deere for my Krause disc the CIH red is a little darker than I wanted but bought it anyhow. Got a coat of primer on the frame then got busy and have put it aside. Now I learn I can get Martin Senour locally and MF red is a better match for Krause red.

I know compatibility is an issue with paints and primers. Should I paint it with the Deere paint then top coat it with Martin? Or what about the Martin primer on top of the primer I have on there now which has been on there close to a year? I always learn the hard way I messed up again it looks like. What should I do?

If the primer you put on a year ago isn't peeling off I would shoot another coat of Martin Senour primer over it. Once it has dried I would should shoot the MF red. Hal

Thanks for the help. I will get some Martin and get to work on it soon. Might be just as well it has sat for a while in this case.
