I have restored 7 tractors but never Kept time of my labor. Last year we were told to evacuate our home due to flood water headed our way. I called a friend to help me move all my tractors to high ground with his truck and trailer and I was going to load some on of my truck trailer. We had everything ready to go when it started to rain had all my tractors were outside. The rain soon turned to quarter size hail, mind you I have shelter for everything but I had moved it out to load it up. Needless to say everything got hammered by hail. The tractors are Ford N series tractors and a John Deere A. I will have to fix them all myself and the insurance company has agreed that is fine. Can someone give me a ballpark figure of how much to charge per hour. I don't know how to do PDR so this will be done the old-fashioned way with dolly and tinning body hammers The body shop that did my cars and trucks with PDR and look great. If anybody knows how to do PDR maybe it's time I learn to do it,any help will be appreciated. Oh by the way we never got flooded.

here in MI they will pay prevailing professional body shop rates ($47 here) minus 25% because you don't have the overhead a pro shop does and probably less training/skills. Also don't let anyone tell you you have to pay income tax on the check you recieve minus expences. This is NOT income, it is compensation for damages and is NOT taxable. Actual labor times will be an agreement between you and your adjuster so start high as you will be cut some.Just have to work the system as that is how they roll.
