Getting ready to paint a D-17 series 4. Looking for a PPG paint code for the silver. I found a code 35388 that someone posted on the Allis boards. Had a pint mixed and its gray, not gonna fly.
Anybody got anything?
Going to spray JAU Shopline.

Thanks!

I didn't find a silver paint code for PPG or Dupont for the Allis Chalmers tractors. I'm sure PPG has paint chips for silver. Put your request over on the Talk forum as some have painted their tractor rims using silver paint. Hal

Probly hard to find a paint code for hot dipped galvanized rims.
If your after authentic rim color you will have to send them out to be galvanized.

stop by your paint jobber and look thru his color books. look at general motors ralleye wheel colors. many good choices there. select the chip that meets your taste.

That's an idea, I'll have to check that out. I'm a Mopar guy so I might have to check the Mopar rallye paint code. ha ha ha

Looked threw all our paint chip books at work and came up with no non metallic silver.

When this comes up the usual recommendation is something that a car would have been painted that was non-metallic. or what truck bumpers used to be painted. Ford called it Argent. There are probably hundreds of names for the same thing and they are not gray or aluminum.

here are some paint codes you can look at. in chrysler, 2007, ma8....med gray mtlic, s4a argent metallic, tae bright silver metlc, 2005 color xza sterling silver mtlic, zdj...blade silver metalic. here are 2 05 gm wheel codes too. waeq9721 argent metalic, and waeq813k...light spiral gray. you can add a flattener to tone the shine down too. these colors are from the r-m diamont books, but the will be able to cross em over.

PPG 8568, silver gray, not too dull, not too bright. It is a GM rally wheel color.

Went to the local CASE dealer and picked up a quart of silver from them when I did my WD45. Hardener can mixed in to their paint.
