anyone ever used john deere paint from T.S. It is a oil base
enamel paint that you can brush, roll or spray. Not sure if I
should use that or automotive paint to paint my J.D.
1050.Thanks for any help.

Its my opinion to not use any paint from Tractor Supply, Rural King, etc. I have found they fade and will not last especially without any hardener.

I would use an automotive paint from your local NAPA, JD dealership even.

I am sure you will get may replies to this post.

It depends on what your objective is and how much effort you intend to put into it. Never put cheap paint over a fifty hour prep job and never put expensive paint over a five hour prep job.

it's formulation vs location you purchase.

alkyd is alkyd.

urethane is urethane..

you can't pay for alkyd and expect urethane results.

guess I will use the gallon of paint I have for the bucket and the 3 point stuff. Thanks to everyone for the input. I will go with automotive paint.
