New parts need to look 50 years old

Need to put a few new parts on an old tractor but prefer not to remove the old "patina", (I think they call it) from rest of 50 yr old tractor---any ideas??

I know I am one of the few that think this way but; what the modern term for "patina " is means a piece of rusted junk that needs a PAINT JOB ! but apparently rust is now cool to look at with guys even becoming experts at fake rust on new things. [ Although I am someewhat of a hippie crit as I have used Modern Masters fake rust on signs to age them so I geuss really Im no better than the Patina Boys } I think there is a thread on this below already that may help you.
The Modern Masters works great: blob on or splatter with toothbrush, the rust product, let it dry and then the activator[ spray bottle] makes it brown up just like the real thing. Not many paint stores sell it because not many interior decorators want to add rust to someones house.
It is from a house paint store though not auto body supply.

I know what you mean. I've got an Oliver 70 with a different hood and rear side curtains that I want to make look all the same without repainting the whole thing. I posted about it farther down on the page. There are a few good ideas down there.

Here are the numbers for the Modern Masters fake rust effects products: Metal Effects Reactives Line : Iron Reactive [ ME208] Activator [PA 904] . You can apply the ME 208 with a natural sponge or splatter on with old toothbrush . The PA 904 does not come in a spray bottle ,I forgot I had to buy that but it can be dabbed on the dried 208 with a sponge also. It will look very dark then once hit with activator it will look exactly like rust. Im pretty sure it has ground iron in it. The guy that told me about this was a custom painter and sign letterer that worked at Disneyworld that I met in custom painting school. Once I got home I tracked it down but most stores said it was not selling and discontinued buying it . There are other finishes too like green copper fake bronze etc. Never tried the Modern Masters paint line so I don't know anything about the paint just the fake rust which works pretty good and is realistic.

I have an IH 756, cab tractor that I would love to put factory flat top fenders on. I cant find used fenders anywhere, but aftermarket are readily available but they come primed, not painted. I'm fine with them being aftermarket, but I don't want to paint them to look nice just to have the rest of the tractor look weathered. I too love the weathered look. So much so that I still have the cab on my tractor. If I can find a way to make new paint look old, I'd be ordering fenders tomorrow!

If anyone knows where I can get a nice set of flat top IH fenders with aged paint, I'm a buyer!!
