Need Silver paint code for wheels

I have a 55 ford 960 and a 47 Farmall BN and the Rear wheels need to be silver. I asked in the ford forum and was recommended
Martin Seynour 55-4869 which I was told is an Oliver Silver. I am more comfortable using PPG single Stage (DCU). I am currently bodyworking the Ford's rims after they were stripped, to make them like new again. Anyone else use PPG and have a good code for a silver paint that would be appropriate for one or both of these tractors rear wheels?

Any good photos of the Martin Seynour 55-4869? Or any PPG paint on rear wheels?

Thank you, Brad

For the BN, PPG 8568, I can't speak for the Ford. 8568 is a silver-gray color, not particularly bright, which is ok for me; it is a GM rally wheel color. Some use aluminum, too bright for me. The Farmall rims were originally galvanized, which is a dull color, very similar to chain link fences. 8568 is brighter than that but suits me fine.

CNKS,
Do you have a photo, or a sample I could see? I just got off the phone with my local PPG dealer(50 minutes away) and they do have a chip that I can go see next week. Thank you, Brad

If anyone has any other suggestions, I'd love to have them so perhaps I can ask the PPG dealer about them when I go there this coming week.

I currently don't have any picture software on this computer. IMO, pictures don't give true colors anyway. And there is more than one rally wheel color. I did get the color by looking in the dealers chip book, but it is difficult to tell similar colors from chips. If I were you I would pick a couple of colors and have them mix a pint of each, that is the only real way to tell. But, I think you will like 8568. You might also try the 4262A by rvirgil. I imagine it is similar. It is whatever satisfies you, since they were galvanized it can't be duplicated without galvanizing anyway.

Update: I got a response from Martin Senour:
"Brad,
If the Napa store has a Tractor & Equipment fan deck(paint chip set), the silver is chipped in the deck under " Oliver White" tractor colors. The deck # is MA4272. If they have a new deck with 5 digit numbers, the new formula number is [u:c3ae2af9ed][b:c3ae2af9ed]94953[/b:c3ae2af9ed][/u:c3ae2af9ed]. "

I stopped at my local PPG supplier to look at the Paint chip recommended - PPG 8568. In the chip book it has a low gloss (eggshell) finish and that was also noted when they looked up the code on the computer. It looked like a rally wheel type silver and was pretty flat.

Since paint is not the original finish anyway, I started thinking about possibly using one of the other silvers you see in the pic, like 34742 or the 35132 for more brilliance, to make them stand out more. Booth are a high gloss finish and have fine metal flake that is more reflective(sparkle). These other silvers just happened to be on the same page of GM commercial accent colors. I have not made a decision which I'm going with yet, but seeing these options live and even having a pic helps to see the contrast between some samples.
