Anyone Ever Used One of These?

I just hate using a gallon paint can when trying to mix paint. It gets all over the side of the can and spills and drips on everything. There just isn't a good/easy mess-free to pour paint from them that I've found. You would think after all these years, that the paint can would have been re-designed for a better "user friendly" design.

I've seen the "spouts" that the local Paint Supply store has, and found this online. I was just wondering if anyone has had expierence with this product, or something similar. I'd like to have 2 or 3 on-hand for the different colors of paint I use (IH Red, IH Yellow, IH White). They're a little steep at $20 each, although without any mess they'll be worth it!!

If there is a better one out there, please let me know that too!!

i use a similiar type for our mixing system. all our base coclors are loaded with those lids and sit in the mixing system. when you turn the mixer on, all the paint in the racks are mixed. heres a pic.

Yeah that is what the auto paint store I go to has.

Is that mixer feature good enough for mixing/stirrring the paint?

my mixer is electric, it does a good job mixing the raw product. after we do a color formula, it goes in to the paint shaker.

Yeah, I was referring to the hand crank one on the spout I found for sale. I didn't know if I should still take my paint to have it shaken or just shake a little by hand and just use the hand crank.

I think I'm gonna order 1 of those spouts for now and maybe order a couple more as the need comes. That way I don't have to spend $60-$80 for them at one time.

What about using a small mixing paddle that you can put in an electric drill? I use one on slow speed in a cordless drill and it is pretty mess-free. I think you can find them for about 4-5 bucks in the hardware store.
