PPG paint code for Farmall BN?

I prefer to paint with PPG single stage urethane on tractor stuff(DCC).

I've seen other posts where CNKS says it should be PPG 70019. I've also seen a bunch of discussion about orange tint in this and the later red. My current faded original doesn't look orange at all. it's more maroon. Looking for some more input.

IH 50 crosses to PPG 70019, good luck as 70019 says it is a Chrysler color. How close to correct, I don't know as I haven't used it. The DuPont cross is 7410.

What year s your BN?

I just had a pint of 70019 made. I really liked the color. It definitely has a maroon tint.

I would recommend getting a pint and trying it.

I don't know. It's a John's forklift Conversion and the serial number tag is long gone when the original seat bracket was jettisoned. I could probably figure it out if I can find some casting date codes on the engine parts, but I haven't done anything to find those yet.

Unless the serial number is more than 201000, the engine serial and chassis serial are the same (provided the engine is original), engine serial is stamped on a smooth surface under #1 spark plug. But IH 50 was used on all the letter series until about 1949.

Yeah, my understanding is that BN's were built from 41-47.
