OK. Went to IH Case dealer for some Farmall paint and paid $11 for a 10 oz can. Got two 2150. On the way out I said to the parts guy, "Ive heard this is really great paint. I am really po'd at the Valspar paint that says made to Oem SPECS " He said,"This is made by Valspar to OEM spec s." What is with this. Are they the same? Both claim to be made to OEM specs by IH/Case If so I got screwed out of $4 per can. Oh well, we will seee

Valspar makes 2150. To OEM specs, I doubt it. The EPA has made Valspar and everyone else to meet their specs. That means the colors have changed. 2150 is not the same color it used to be, but probably close enough. Valspar makes cheap to expensive paints. Although I am not a fan of rattle cans, 2150 is the best I have used.

I've used a lot of the 2150, and I've used a little of the Tractor Supply Valspar. There IS a BIG difference.

I got a new trailer that has a sticker on it that says painted with Valspar and it is sorry paint. Soft as barn paint.

Valspar makes multiple grades of paint and makes paint marketed under several brand names.

Hi My girlfriends ex boss was telling me he worked in a paint factory, that supplied JD their oem factory paint, And also JD paint to after market companies.
He said basically the Genuine was way different blends of ingredients to after market. He said aftermarket would of been better if they had just used the mixing tank washing"s and put it in a can!.
I guess OEM don"t want guys buying their color and quality paint for $4 a can from TSC.
