Refering to the post below, What is 2150 paint? I have always used the paint at Carquest but they have gone to Valspar and it is crap. I have to throw half or more of every can away. I got some ICP paint and it is pretty good but it costs $27 for a 20 OZ can. Also, it runs like crazy IF YOU OVERSHOOT (i AM KNOWN AS THE WORLDS WORST PAINTER, ASK ANY OF MY 4 WIVES) Is there any good paint? How about Tisco sold by YT> Is it any good> I want to rattle can my parts unitil My H is done when I will do a professional job. I used the Carquest on MY M about 6 years ago and used hardner in the paint. Still lokks great Henry

2150 is the paint code for case i-h red. usually they are referring to the rattle can paint from the case i-h dealer.

If you have a Case-IH dealer locally, go there and get the 2150. It comes in spray (rattle) cans, quarts, and gallons. I have used quite a bit of it in both the rattle cans for the sheet metal and quarts for brushing the cast iron parts. It is a very durable paint with a very nice gloss to it. I haven"t bought any for a few years now so I do not know the current price.

The Tisco brand IH red is also a very nice paint and is the correct color of red. The Tisco paint does have a tendency to fade if left out in the weather, but holds up very nice if parked in the shed when not being used.
