I just picked up a 560D.The tin is straight but needs to be sand blasted. Needs to be de-greased. I have seen his work, and it is nice. What is a fair price? Thanks in advance

I think it would be impossible to say what would be a fair price. Prices for everything vary greatly around the country. I would recommend that you degrease the tractor yourself before it is sandblasted. If any grease or oil is left on the tractor it will just get imbedded in the metal in the sandblasting.

On sheet metal or on anything still assembled tell him to be extra careful -- I don't care how many tractors he has sandblasted, sand gets into everything. I flattened the ridge on the top of my 460 hood with my puny cheap sandblaster. Best to use a fiber wheel on a drill, it takes awhile but it works. The scratches are easily filled with a urethane surfacer on top of epoxy primer.
