Paint for a sears walk behind mower

My grandfather has recently acquired a Sears Walk behind mower model number 917-57560 serial number 190 that he wants to restore to original paint colors. We are looking for a picture or someone that can point us in the direction of a picture. We would also be very appreciative of anyone who could tell us the colors. He believes that this model is about 50 years old.

Any way you could post a photo of it?I would like to see what it looks like, and that might give someone a better idea of the original color.

If there is any part that is approx. 4x6 inches that has original paint, he can take it to a paint jobber and they can digitally scan it and give an exact match. If there is such a place, it will need to be cleaned first with rubbing compound.

Is there any part of the mower that can be taken off that has the original paint. Paint stores have gotten real good computer matching paint colors. Most can also hand match paint if you leave the sample with them long enough.

OK, something finally clicked within my old worn out brain, and I Googled "David Bradley tractors and implements" This will bring up a David Bradley web site. What your grandfather actually a David Bradley walk behind garden tractor. This model number was manufactured from 1951 to 1953. They were painted red with green wheels.

Does it look like this tractor? Hal
