When spreading Bondo,it starts setting up before I can hardly get started working with it.Mainly work when temp is warm, summer time.Any hints or tips?ThanksGP

You're going to hear from those with more experience than me but I've learned that the more cream hardener I use, the quicker the stuff sets up. Try using a lesser amount of cream hardener and it will take longer to set up.

What Joe says. Use less hardener, work fast and don't try to do too much at one time. Happens to me too, but I'm used to it.

When it's 80 out it only takes about a 1/4- 1/2" worm for a golf ball sized pile and you can't stand around and smoke after mixing.

Try to use the same color hardener every job. You will learn the correct color for the mixed bondo. Too dark, sets up too fast.
Also try to plan your work so you are doing the bondo at first light when it is cool. Never out in the sun. If you have good outdoor lighting maybe at night.
