vac case green

Im restoring a 1948 vac case (one owner)and i see the tractor is green under the orange paint.
this tractor has never been repainted befor
I have done lots of these tractors and own 6 of them my self and when i redone the others thay where not green, whats up with the green ?

I remember seeing a few VAC s that were a very dark green/almost brown when they were nearly new. I thought they were something the goverement had bought. No proof of it tho. clint

Could the green be one of the olive drab colors?

Is it the whole tractor or just parts? The parts associated with the hydraulic lift and implement mounts were green from the factory, as were the implements themselves.
