oil from drain valve

I bought a 80 gal Kobalt compressor a couple years ago to use for painting my tractors. However, the other day, I was using it and when I first started it, I noticed the water has a oily residue when draining it from bottom of tank. I haven"t used it over 8 hours so far as I haven"t got around to painting yet. My concern is how is this going to affect my painting? My setup that I"m using is 2 drip legs (1 where hose hooks to copper line inside shop and another close to that is at 23 feet from the 1st one.) The air line is 3/4 inch copper pipe with 2 water separators at end of 25 foot section that is hanging close to my 11 foot ceiling in shop. It"s not much oil but a little and was concerned on what I need to do.

I would install a oil/water separater. Shouldn't have to worry about it then. Keep tank drained. Higher humidity you'll have more moisture. No so much in winter times.

Thanks for replying. Guess I will buy an oil trap to go inline with my existing water traps and see what happens.
