if you are doing it as side work and not a regular business, 20 to 25 dollars/hr. bill your paint and materials separate. if you are shooting base/clear or single stage automotive, you will be in the 500 to 1000 dollar range. sandpaper,thinners, primers,wax and grease removers and strippers dont come cheap. as a ball park, for a clean,degrease, strip, prime, dent removal on the sheetmetal, prime and block, then shoot, you will have anywhere from 80 to 120 hours in the job, if its done right. that is for body and paint only, on a farmall m size tractor. a lot of dis-assembly, cabinet blasting of small parts, re-assembly ect.
