What brand are those--and which line? I haven't priced any PPG Omni products in that time frame either. PPG raises its prices twice a year. I'm guessing about $5-600 for my Super M, I suppose it could hit $800. Your epoxy primer appears too high, but your 2K urethane primer surfacer appears too cheap -- except what I buy is by the gallon, which will probably do 3 tractors. Problem is this time I am out of about everything, I usually carry some things over. |

2K primer was the JP202, not a urethane. Epoxy is the JP 377. All are Shopline products, except the Silver which is the IH dealer paint and works well for rims.

I think Shopline is identical to Omni, at least some of the tech sheets are identical, notably the epoxy -- I have not looked at info for Shopline products lately, though. Sold by the "premier" dealers or something like that to make people think it is better. Not available locally.

Your right...they are identical. My PPG paint store told me that if you sell PPG exclusively you sell shopline. If you carry other brands you sell omni...the labels are the only difference. Sometimes you can get a better product from their fleet line at a lower price...if you have a dealer anywhere close to you, you might want to check into Matrix paint. The company was started by a guy that worked at PPG for years. The formulas and stuff are very similar...but usually half the price of PPG. I've been buying their urethane primer hardener and all for $69.00. It's the same as PPG's K36 urethane primer.

Not much choice here, PPG, DuPont, and NAPA. I'm staying with PPG. The Dupont dealer does handle primers, etc of other brands, the PPG dealer doesn't, but doesn't have shopline either. Don't know what your dealer means by exclusive. Local dealer sells only PPG paint, but is an auto parts store. Yours must be strictly a paint store along with related items but no auto parts.
