This is not a tractor related question but I don't know where else to ask.
A realtor called and told me about some property for sale, house is only a few years old but has an off pink (not kidding) color siding.
Does anybody know if this can be painted. It wiuld be a huge job as it is a two story house.
Thanks,
Billl.

Have heard of painting vinyl. But, you'll need a special paint. Need to go to a paint store that has a good educated sales person - not just a highschooler! Probably need to have vinyl powerwashed thoroughly.

Get a price on new insulated vinyl siding installed and offer that much less for the house.
They may have a hard time selling it being pink.

Yes it can be painted they painted the office building where I work about 5 years ago and it still looks good not peeling or fading. I don't know what paint was used a contractor did the work.

Any major paint company should have a paint sutible for vinyl siding. I use Sherwin Williams and their paint for vinyl siding is called VinylSafe. http://www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/color/find-and-explore-colors/paint-colors-by-collection/vinylsafe-colors-for-vinyl-siding/

SEM makes a good one but these paints are for car interior and dashboard parts . It may cost a fortune to do a house . The SEM paint will adhere really well. It is an autobody supply product.SEM vinyl paint.Sprays nice.

Yes ,you can paint vinyl siding. I washed it first with dawn dish soap in warm water and a woolen car wash mitt, rinsed with a garden hose. Painted the next day with a good quality latex exterior house paint, gave it two coats. It has held up well, for 15 years. You may need to touchup the overlapping joints on a cool day when the siding shrinks .
