| Here are several tractors painted with Martin Senour's paint. A farmer in Ohio paints tractors as a sideline. Hal |

| If your napa dealer carries their paint line (Martin Senour) I'd try their. Their crossfire line is less expensive, but still decent, I think its a good choice for a working tractor, or even a show tractor. They should have enamel, acrylic enamel, and acrylic urethane all in the crossfire line. Urethane is the most expensive, with reducer and hardener it is probably $225 a gallon. Acrylic enamel is not a lot cheaper, but should be some, and is still pretty good paint. They should have a little chart you can flip through, with industrial, ag, and commercial colors. They have all the colors for Oliver, so I bet they have yours too. Josh |

| | so anyone here got a paint code for some other good quality paint for the 600, need gray for hood and fenders, i wont be painting the cast. tsc is a good drive for me and i dont know of a sherwood dealer anywhere. prob. wont make much difference ordering online if i had a code, since i live in the sticks and will cost gas to get to a good paint dealer. |

| | Ditto on not using Valspar paint. It is the worst alkyd paint I've ever used. I painted a Kubota tractor with it one time and within a month I could see it start to fade. In two years it was more white than orange and dried out and cracked where in the sun most. I do use Valspar's hardener in other brands of paint when I'm using an alkyd. It will make the paint perform like the old lead based paint. Just one note: These paint hardeners contain isocyanides so only paint in a well ventilated area and wear a chemical respirator and throw the charcoal canisters away after painting the tractor. If a person was going to paint a lot with these, they should wear a fresh air supplied respirator. I only paint with automotive paints now since my experience with the Kubota. It's a lot of work to paint a tractor and I want it to last but not everyone can justify spending hundreds of dollars to paint a tractor. If you are going to use an alkyd paint I would recommend that you go to a major brand paint company like Sherwin Williams and use their paint. You will probably have to get one can of rattle can paint from TS to make a sample so they will have something to computer match. |

| I would NEVER buy the cheap Valspar paint. The restoration series works through an HVLP gun, but there is no easy way to get the cheap stuff through a gun. Been there done that. |
